I'm kind of a nerd, but that's the way I like it.
I had an excellent high school history teacher who taught me that we don't have "freedom" in the United States of America, we have independence, and that independence is "freedom with responsibility."
Voting the party ticket because everyone you know and trust is voting the party ticket, no questions asked? That's irresponsible. Paying attention to the election, researching the issues, finding out where the candidates stand on those issues and what effect their respective plans could have on the future of your country?
